Congrats Hunter! You’re our Volo City Kids Foundation Volunteer of the Season. The kids loved having Hunter teach them soccer during the summer league. Not only is Hunter great with the kids, he is also a huge asset to the operations for Play Mile High.
Why did you get involved with the Volo City Kids Foundation?
I wanted to connect with my community and when I realized we were going to be teaching kids soccer, I couldn’t say no since it is my favorite sport.
Why do you think the Volo City Kids Foundation is important?
I have played sports my whole life, it was an outlet for me to just forget the stress of everyday life and have fun, and I think every kid deserves that opportunity.
What do you do for work when you’re not volunteering with the kids?
Babysit for the adults who donate to the foundation.
What has been your most rewarding experience while volunteering with the Kids Foundation?
Every-time a kid told me they couldn’t do something, whether kicking, dribbling or defending, we would keep helping them and by the end of every session they were exponentially better and so happy that they did what they believed they couldn’t.
If you were an animal, what type would you be and why?
A panda, they are tough but adorable.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
This is a hard one, either Banff National Park in Canada or Iceland.
